Joe Kavesh is a partner in the Firm’s Parsippany, New Jersey and New York City offices.
He concentrates his practice in the areas of premises liability, construction law, product
liability, automobile liability and insurance coverage litigation. Joe is admitted to practice
in New Jersey, New York and the District of Columbia, as well as the U.S. District Courts
for the District of New Jersey, the Southern District of New York, the Eastern District of
New York, the Western District of New York and the Northern District of New York.
Prior to joining Kiernan Trebach, Joe was a partner at a New York law firm where he
represented homeowners and policyholders in general liability and commercial litigation
matters. He has represented the world’s largest home improvement retailer in federal
and state court proceedings, and has counseled national and international insurers in
high exposure trials.
Joe received his B.A. from Brown University in 1990, and his J.D. from Seton Hall
University School of Law in 1996. He has presented before the Defense Association of
New York (DANY) and the Claims and Litigation Management (CLM) Alliance.
A resident of Montclair, New Jersey, Joe has served the community as Chairman of the
Civil Rights Commission, Vice President of the Board of Education and as a Trustee of
the Public Library. He is the father of three sons, and is an accomplished distance
