Peter Chin practices in the firm's Washington, DC office. His practice includes a variety of litigation matters in areas such as medical malpractice, other professional malpractice, contract disputes, product liability, general liability, and insurance coverage.

Prior to joining Kiernan Trebach in 2021, Peter spent six years working for the Johns Hopkins Health System. Before his tenure at Johns Hopkins, he was an associate at a large insurance defense firm where he gained experience in all aspects of civil litigation in state and federal courts.

During law school, Peter practiced as a student attorney in the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law Public Health Law Clinic. He served as the Manuscripts Editor of the Journal of Health Care Law and Policy. He performed research on topics ranging from medical research ethics to the impact of pop culture on legal and medical training for Dean Karen Rothenberg, JD. Peter also received the school’s Health Law Certificate.

Before becoming a lawyer, Peter worked as the Director of Programs at a national non-profit organization committed to advancing the hiring, retention and promotion of diverse lawyers in law departments and law firms.
