Joseph J. McAlee is Of Counsel in the Firm’s Philadelphia office. Mr. McAlee has been a litigator for his entire career and has experience representing insureds and self-insureds in all types of civil defense litigation in the State and Federal Courts. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, as well as The Supreme Court of the United States, The United States Courts of Appeals for the Third and Tenth Circuits, and The U.S. District Courts for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the District of New Jersey.
Mr. McAlee’s areas of practice include construction and construction defect, premises liability, landlord liability, negligent security, product liability, trucking and transportation, and trial and appellate practice.
Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. McAlee represented municipal and state institutions in all manner of litigation, including lawsuits filed under the federal anti-discrimination statutes (Title VII, ADA, FMLA ADEA) and their state counterparts, as well as the federal civil rights laws (42 U.S.C §§ 1981, 1983 and 1985). He has also represented rail carriers in employee lawsuits under the FELA.
Mr. McAlee graduated with a B.S. in Accounting from Villanova University in 1985 and received his J.D. from Temple University School of Law in 1988 and his LL.M in Taxation from Temple in 2008.
