Joe Ross is Of Counsel in the firm's Philadelphia and Cherry Hill, NJ offices, where he focuses on medical malpractice, professional liability and insurance matters. He has successfully represented business and professionals throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey, as well as in federal courts. His practice has included actions ranging from claims of medical malpractice, multi-million dollar insurance coverage disputes, environmental superfund actions, and lawsuits against real estate, insurance and financial professionals. The business and personal implications of litigation for his clients are central to his practice.
Prior to joining Kiernan Trebach, Joe spent years defending clients at all stages of litigation, gaining extensive experience in depositions, arbitrations, mediations, summary judgment efforts, pre-trial settlement negotiations and appellate practice. He also has a strong background in electronic discovery, including the use of document review platforms to manage massive productions of electronically stored information and the development of cooperative document review strategies in multi-party common interest groups. Previously, he worked for the State of New Jersey as a regulatory attorney and ethics officer, and before that he served as a civil and criminal law clerk for the Pike County Court of Common Pleas in Pennsylvania. Joe is a 2005 graduate of Saint Joseph's University and obtained his J.D. from Temple University's Beasley School of Law in 2013 while working as a paralegal at the Philadelphia Housing Authority. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and the District of New Jersey.
