Mark A. Lockett has been with the Firm since 2004 and is the Managing Partner of the firm’s Philadelphia, Pennsylvania office. He has over 20 years of experience in litigation and trials in the area of product liability, including asbestos and lead litigation, general negligence and catastrophic loss.
More specifically, Mr. Lockett has defended corporate clients and insurance companies in cases that involved premises liability, elevator maintenance, asbestos, food-borne illness, food safety and professional errors and omissions. He has also handled matters involve catastrophic losses in the context of products liability, industrial facilities and construction work sites.
Mr. Lockett has tried cases at both the federal and state court levels in both the southeastern and northeastern sections of Pennsylvania. From 1988 through 1999, Mr. Lockett defended a corporate client in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, which included in excess of 1,100 plaintiffs living near a lead reclamation facility.
Mr. Lockett is a member of the Philadelphia Association of Defense Counsel, where he serves on the Executive Board, and a member of the Defense Research Institue. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Mr. Lockett graduated from the University of Rochester, B.A. in 1984 and received his J.D. from Temple University School of Law in 1987.
