Alexander H. Gillespie is a Partner in the Firm’s New York, NY and Parsippany, NJ offices. He has over 35 years of experience litigating matters in the areas of professional liability, product liability, construction defects, toxic torts and environmental disputes (including chemical and mold-related bodily injury and property damage claims), complex insurance disputes and contracts (including government contracts). He represents clients in complex litigation in state and federal courts across the United States and has argued numerous appeals.
Prior to joining the Firm’s practice, Mr. Gillespie served as Special Assistant United States Attorney for the District of Columbia specializing in employment discrimination litigation. He was also previously associated with a law firm, where he was involved in a variety of civil litigation matters with a concentration in complex insurance coverage litigation.
Mr. Gillespie is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, including its Construction Law and Insurance Coverage Sections. He is admitted to practice in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and the District of Columbia. He is also admitted to practice in numerous federal trial and appellate courts, and has been admitted pro hac vice in numerous other jurisdictions across the country.
Mr. Gillespie received his B.A., cum laude, from Saint Michael’s College in 1981. He was awarded a J.D. from Washington University School of Law in 1986, where he was a member of the Washington University Law Quarterly.
