Kristyn Dery Kaupas is a Partner in the Firm's Boston, MA office.  Her practice is focused on civil litigation defense including product liability, construction defect and injury, professional liability, insurance coverage, employment claims, medical malpractice, transportation, and premise liability.

Prior to joining Kiernan Trebach, Ms. Kaupas was a litigation manager working on complex claims with a national insurance carrier and before that, worked at regional insurance defense firms.  Ms. Kaupas has experience trying cases to jury, has represented clients before the American Arbitration Association and state agencies including the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination, has participated in numerous state and federal mediations, has been successful in numerous dispositive motions, and has argued before the Massachusetts Appeals Court.

Ms. Kaupas received her B.S. in Sociology, maga cum laude, from Saint Joseph's University, Philadelphia, PA, in 2004, and received her J.D., cum laude, from New England School of Law in 2007 where she served as Senior Literary Editor of the New England Journal on Criminal and Civil Confinement.

Ms. Kaupas is licensed in the state and federal courts of Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island.  She is also a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association, New Hampshire Bar Association and Rhode Island Bar Association.

Ms. Kaupas was selected by Super Lawyers Magazine as a Rising Star in 2013 and 2014.
