Matthew M. Davey is a Partner in the firm's Washington, D.C. office, practicing primarily in civil litigation. Mr. Davey has over a decade of experience in handling civil litigation matters in state and federal courts in Maryland and the District of Columbia. He has successfully tried cases in Maryland and the District of Columbia, and he has also successfully argued dispositive motions.
Mr. Davey graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in English from The Catholic University of America. While an undergrad, he was awarded the H.R. Franco Memorial Scholarship and was a staff writer for The Tower, Catholic University's student newspaper. He also received his Juris Doctor from The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law. While in Law school, Mr. Davey was a member of the Moot Court Board and also practiced as a Student Attorney in the Families in the Law Clinic, where he represented indigent members of the District of Columbia, who were seeking protective orders from abuse. Mr. Davey is licensed in Maryland, the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland, the District of Columbia and the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.
Mr. Davey is originally from Scranton, Pennsylvania and currently resides in Montgomery County, Maryland with his wife and two children.
