Sabrina McBride is an attorney in the firm’s Washington D.C. office. Prior to joining the firm, Sabrina worked as a litigation attorney at the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) where she successfully litigated administrative, environmental, and insurance matters in federal courts. She also represented the agency in proceedings before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and in arbitrations before the Civilian Board of Contract Appeals.
Sabrina has extensive experience in all stages of litigation, from pre-trial investigations and case development through resolution of matters in court, mediation, or arbitration. Her broad litigation background enables her to effectively navigate complex disputes and advocate for clients throughout the litigation process. Sabrina has also played a leading role in several national-level reform initiatives at FEMA, developing and implementing program and policy changes to reduce litigation risk and improve program effectiveness.

Successfully represented a federal agency in opposing a motion for a preliminary injunction filed by ten states that would have enjoined flood insurance rates established by the National Flood Insurance Program. Louisiana v. Mayorcas, 2:23-cv-
01839 (E.D. La. 2024).
Successfully defended a federal agency against claims brought under the Endangered Species Act, securing a favorable ruling that reversed a 30-year history of litigation losses in similar challenges. National Wildlife Federation v. FEMA, 2014 U.S. Dist.LEXIS 151386 (W.D. Wash. 2014).
Successfully defended a federal agency before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit in a case establishing significant precedent regarding the limits of federal financial liability in the provision of disaster assistance under a major federal grant program. St. Tammany Parish ex rel. Davis v. Federal Emergency Management Agency, 556 F.3d 307 (5th Cir. 2009).
