The Committee’s primary goals are to:
- Support recruitment and retention efforts across the Firm;

- Encourage a workplace culture grounded in respect, collaboration, and inclusion; and
- Identify opportunities to strengthen engagement and advancement within the Firm.
The Committee works toward these goals by:
- Consulting with Firm leadership regarding inclusion and professional development initiatives;
- Encouraging regular communication and collaboration across offices and practice groups;
- Supporting recruiting and outreach efforts designed to attract talented professionals;
- Promoting professional development, evaluation, feedback, work assignment, and business development practices that provide meaningful opportunities across the Firm;
- Encouraging leadership development opportunities for attorneys and staff; and
- Offering attorneys and staff opportunities to participate in training, mentorship, and professional engagement programs.
Kiernan Trebach is committed to supporting the next generation of legal professionals through outreach, mentorship, and scholarship opportunities.
The Firm partners with law schools and community organizations in several of its regional markets to provide scholarships, clerkship opportunities, and practical law firm experience to talented law students.
In partnership with Howard University School of Law in Washington, D.C., Kiernan Trebach offers the Kiernan Trebach – Howard University Scholarship Program. Through this program, a selected student will have the opportunity to work as a law clerk with the Firm and receive a scholarship at the conclusion of the clerkship.
The Firm believes that talented students benefit from meaningful access to mentorship, practical experience, and professional development opportunities. Through its outreach and scholarship efforts, Kiernan Trebach seeks to support aspiring legal professionals and contribute to the continued growth and accessibility of the legal profession.
