What You Will Do:

Attorneys at Kiernan Trebach handle a broad range of civil litigation matters and are responsible for:

• Managing cases from inception through resolution, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation
• Drafting motions, briefs, and legal memoranda
• Taking and defending depositions
• Appearing in court, hearings, and mediations
• Communicating with clients, opposing counsel, and courts
• Developing case strategies and providing legal analysis
• Collaborating with attorneys and support staff

Experience Levels & Qualifications

Entry-Level Attorney (0–4 Years)

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
• Active bar admission in at least one relevant jurisdiction
• Strong legal research and writing skills
• Interest in civil litigation and insurance defense
• Ability to work collaboratively and manage assigned tasks

Mid-Level Attorney (4–9 Years)

• 4+ years of civil litigation and/or insurance defense experience
• Experience handling cases from inception through resolution
• Strong motion practice and deposition experience
• Ability to manage a caseload independently
• Experience with insurance coverage, general liability, or related practice areas preferred

Senior-Level Attorney (10+ Years)

• 10+ years of civil litigation experience
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex litigation
• Significant experience in areas such as construction litigation, insurance defense, or coverage matters
• Strong leadership, client management, and case strategy skills
• Trial experience preferred
