Giavanna L. Pinto is an associate in the firm’s Washington, DC office. Prior to joining the firm, Giavanna served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Janet E. Albert in the Family Court of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. Her work focused on matters involving mental health and intellectual disabilities, juvenile justice, child abuse and neglect.

While earning her J.D. as an evening student, Giavanna worked in the D.C. Mayor’s Office of Legal Counsel as a law clerk, where she advised on employment and administrative law issues, handled FOIA matters, and supported internal investigations. She also led the District’s Hearing Officer Program, implementing policy reforms to promote fairness and procedural efficiency. Additionally, Giavanna completed legal internships with the D.C. Office of the Attorney General and the D.C. Public Service Commission, gaining experience in regulatory compliance and public safety.

During law school, Giavanna was a member of Catholic University’s nationally-ranked Trial Advocacy Team and served as a volunteer in the D.C. Court of Appeals Pro Bono Mediation Program.
