James Hittinger is a partner in the firm’s District of Columbia office. He also maintains offices in Rockville and Fairfax. James specializes in complex litigation, including the defense of physicians, dentists, hospitals, nurses, psychologists, medical practices, and many other professionals, as well as construction and construction defect litigation, environmental/mold litigation, premises liability, trucking, and general liability matters. James has successfully tried both jury and non-jury matters in each of the state and federal courts in Maryland, the District of Columbia, and Virginia. He has handled numerous matters at arbitration, including before the American Arbitration Association. He has also represented clients on appeal in each of these jurisdictions.

James has been selected as a D.C. Super Lawyer every year since 2017. In 2021, James was also selected as one of the best lawyers in Montgomery County by Bethesda Magazine.
