Experience

Kristyn is a Partner based in the Boston office with over 18 years of experience litigating cases in both state and federal courts. Kristyn has successfully represented businesses and individuals in the state and federal courts of Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island, including the Massachusetts Appeals Court, Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court, and Rhode Island Supreme Court. She has also defended and tried cases before the American Arbitration Association.

Kristyn defends catastrophic injury claims involving construction, commercial trucking and transportation, medical malpractice and healthcare, and premise, retail, and restaurant liability. She also defends individuals and companies in professional liability claims and construction defect/design cases. Kristyn’s work on these matters often begins pre-suit, thoroughly investigating claims against medical and other professionals, trucking companies and their drivers, and construction companies, to ensure the preservation of critical evidence and often when pre-suit statutory notices and responses are required.

Kristyn represents clients in employment and discrimination matters, defending claims in state agencies, such as the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination, Rhode Island Commission For Human Rights, and the New Hampshire Commission For Human Rights, as well as in the state and federal courts with respect to employment related matters. Kristyn also advises corporate clients directly with respect to their employment-related matters, assisting with policies and employment-related decisions.

Prior to joining the firm, Kristyn worked at regional and national insurance defense firms and served as a litigation manager for a national insurance carrier. These experiences gave her an inside perspective of claims management and helped her develop a solid background in trial advocacy.
