Stuart is a Partner based in Rockville with more than thirty years of experience as a civil litigator, focusing on medical negligence cases. Stuart has spent the majority of his career defending physicians, dentists, hospitals and other health care providers throughout the State of Maryland and the District of Columbia and continues to do so with the firm. In addition, he has extensive experience in product liability, premises liability and professional liability litigation, and also spent a portion of his career representing injured patients and their families. Stuart has tried more than 100 medical negligence jury trials to verdict. He was lead counsel in and argued before the appellate courts in Maryland obtaining a landmark decision that changed the certification requirements as mandated under Maryland law. The new certification requirements have reshaped the landscape of medical malpractice lawsuits in the State of Maryland.
