Experience

Throughout her professional career, Eliana dedicated her legal efforts to the pursuit of civil rights and criminal justice reform through oral and written advocacy. She previously worked for Prisoner’s Legal Services of New York, the New York Civil Liberties Union, and was an
extern for the Honorable Anne J. Swern, presiding over the Criminal Court of the City of New York in New York County.

At Brooklyn Law School, Eliana spent two years immersed in the Pardons and Clemency Clinic, where she filed both state and federal pardons on behalf of clients at risk of deportation. Her efforts culminated in the successful pardon and grant of clemency for her client, in the state of Connecticut, on June 7, 2023. During law school, Eliana competed for the renowned Brooklyn Law School Moot Court Honor Society as a national team member and the Alternative Dispute Resolution Honor Society, where she won the Best Advocate Award.

Upon graduation from law school, Eliana was granted the New York City Trial Lawyers Alliance Prize for Excellence in Trial Skills. As both a research assistant and teaching assistant for Civil Procedure and Evidence, Eliana looks forward to applying her academic knowledge and practical experience to civil litigation at Kiernan Trebach.
