Francisco J. Maldonado Andreu is an Associate in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office. Prior to joining the firm, Francisco worked at a boutique law firm in Arlington, Virginia, where he specialized in labor and employment disputes and litigation.

Francisco obtained his Juris Doctor from The George Washington University Law School in May of 2022 with Pro Bono Honors. He was a member of the Federal Communications Law Journal. He served as the Co-President for the Latin American Law Student Association for two years, and as Political Chair of Lambda Law.

While in law school, Francisco participated in the Civil and Human Rights Law Clinic as a student attorney and Clinic Fellow. He interned at the Legal Vice Presidency of The World Bank Group, the Commercial Law Development Program at the U.S. Department of Commerce, and Chief Judge Gustavo Gelpí of the U.S. District Court for the District of Puerto Rico.

Prior to law school, Francisco worked for several non-profit organizations focused on public health and higher education in Mexico, Puerto Rico, and Chile. Francisco graduated cum laude from Harvard University in 2014 with a B.A. in Romance Languages and Literature and a minor in Studies of Women, Gender, and Sexuality. He is fluent in Spanish, French, and Portuguese. Francisco lives with his partner in D.C. In his free time, he enjoys playing soccer, hiking, contemporary art, reading, and traveling.
