Michael is a Partner in the firm’s Annapolis, Maryland office. Michael is an experienced trial attorney who has taken nearly 50 jury trials to verdict. His practice is devoted to all areas of litigation and includes representation of both individuals and companies.

Originally from Wellesley Hills, Massachusetts, Michael began his Maryland legal career when he was appointed as the Judicial Law Clerk in the Circuit Court for Queen Anne’s County. Following his clerkship, Michael served as an Assistant State’s Attorney, and was eventually appointed to serve as Deputy State's Attorney. During his years as a prosecutor Michael handled thousands of cases before judges and juries, including serious felonies.

Prior to joining the firm, Michael represented businesses and individuals in multi-party complex litigation, construction defect litigation, premises liability and personal injury claims, as well as advised businesses regarding daily management, human resource issues, and contracts. Michael’s successful litigation practice has earned him the respect of his peers as demonstrated by his receiving the honors of being named a “Leading Lawyer in Criminal Defense” by What's Up Magazine in 2012, and a Rising Star in Civil Litigation in 2014 and 2015 by Super Lawyers Magazine and published in Baltimore Magazine.

Outside of work, Michael enjoys spending time with his family and coaching his son's youth basketball and lacrosse teams.
