Experience

Rashida is an Associate in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office.

Prior to joining Kiernan Trebach, Rashida worked at a general practice firm representing clients in criminal and civil litigation matters throughout Maryland and the District of Columbia. Her civil practice areas included insurance defense, intellectual property, commercial and business, and estates and trusts. Before entering private practice, Rashida worked for the Maryland Office of the Public Defender in Baltimore City defending indigent clients. Rashida has tried numerous bench and jury trials.

During law school, Rashida was the Executive Articles Editor of the Human Rights and Globalization Law Review, a member of the Huver I. Brown Trial Advocacy Moot Court Team, and a student-attorney in the Criminal Justice Clinic. While in the Criminal Justice Clinic, Rashida successfully provided legal assistance to a federal prisoner who was granted clemency by President Obama through Clemency Project 2014.
