Stephen is a Partner in the Firm’s Boston office with more than 25 years of experience in civil litigation. He currently concentrates in the areas of labor and employment, civil rights, correctional healthcare, environmental liability, construction defects, railroad liability and employee/FELA and third-party/passenger claims, other transportation matters, general liability, and commercial disputes.

Stephen has tried cases in federal and state courts (recently obtaining a defense verdict in a jury trial over a construction incident), and before administrative law bodies, including the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination, in many areas of the law. In addition, he has been successful in obtaining the dismissal of numerous cases through dispositive motions, and in achieving beneficial settlements. Although the majority of his work has involved defending clients, he has prosecuted commercial claims and achieved substantial settlements on behalf of the firm’s clientele.

Stephen graduated with a B.S. from Northwestern University and earned a M.S. in Broadcasting and Film from Boston University. After working as a film and television producer for more than a decade he earned his J.D. (magna cum laude) from Boston College Law School.
